As you end your year, and think through your goals for 2019, you may not initially think you need a clean closet, but here’s something to consider:
A recent article in Psychology Today reports that “people with clean houses are healthier than people with messy houses”.
It further reports from a study done in 2010 that “Women who described their living spaces as “cluttered” or full of “unfinished projects” were more likely to be depressed and fatigued than women who described their homes as “restful” and “restorative.” The researchers also found that women with cluttered homes expressed higher levels of the stress hormone cortisol.”
What does that mean for you?? Keeping a clean closet and a clean household are actually beneficial for not only your health, but your productivity and your life.
When you think about all the other things you do for your health, it makes sense: the environment we surround ourselves with is a reflection of what’s going on inside of us. You drink smoothies, you work out & watch your step count….why not add the gift of a clean, orderly environment to that list? Walk into your closet in 2019 with less stress, plenty of outfit ideas, and an action plan to find your true style, with confidence & ease.
It’s not a New Years Resolution, it’s a lifestyle change.
